I am glad to say that even during my birthday celebrations, I maintained healthy eating, started intermittent fasting, and hit all my HIIT personal training sessions with a smile on my face! I have also been of a streak of successfully logging all of my meals on myfitnesspal.com. I like submitting my food & fitness diary for the day and seeing that I hit my targets for calories burned while staying at or below my calorie intake. It’s working for me, and that’s all that matters.
What is intermittent fasting? Glad you asked!
I have an 8 hour eating window from 11AM-7PM or 12PM-8PM, the remainder of the day is fasting. That means I don’t intake calories. I have have calorie free liquids like water, tea, black coffee, or sparkling water. I usually stick to just water, but it’s nice to know I have other options.
Consistency is the biggest key to my success.
I lost 4 lbs this week, bringing my total weight loss to 11.4 lbs and a decrease of 0.4% body fat.
I had my first body assessment done at my gym on Saturday. It consisted of weight, body mass, body fat %, and head-to-toe measurements. I didn’t look at the measurements, only because I’d rather see them in three months when I have something to compare them to. I feel stronger, my posture has improved, I have more energy, and crave my workouts. I will be back next week for my first month(Week 4) update!
